Living in a World of Angels Awareness Campaign
November 1, 2025 - November 30, 2025
World of Angels is part of an educational and awareness campaign by U.P. Home Health & Hospice and the U.P. Hospice Foundation. “The idea behind it is that SO many people are involved in Hospice Care, from the doctors, the nurses, the care aides, bereavement counselors, and more,” states Jennie Garrett-Bureau, CEO/Administrator of U.P. Home Health & Hospice. “But as Cindy Nyquist (our founder) has always emphasized, Hospice is about more than just the clinical team- it’s about YOU, the family, the friends, and the community members that are consistently caring for a loved one. They are all angels on earth. So, for the month of November and during these challenging times, we want you to look around and see that you, too, Live in a World of Angels.”
Spearheaded by the ‘Volunteer Angel Committee,’ U.P. Home Health & Hospice has partnered with 21 local businesses to host the beautiful displays throughout the county. Community members have a chance to view these displays and win one of 21 baskets by visiting these business partners, which include Crock and Rocker (Michigamme), Bell Medical (Ishpeming), Ishpeming Senior Center, Midtown Bakery (Negaunee), Gwinn Clubhouse (Gwinn), Up North Lodge (Gwinn), Ashley Furniture (Marquette), Getz (Marquette), Lagniappe (Marquette), Elizabeths Chophouse (Marquette), Vierling (Marquette), 906 & Company (Marquette), Peninsula Medical (Marquette), Wood Jeweler (Marquette), Messiah Lutheran (Marquette), Salon Salon (Marquette), Bethany Lutheran (Republic), First Bank (Marquette), Snyder Drugs (Chocolay). In addition, families and residents of Teal Lake Assisted Living (Negaunee) and Eastwood Nursing Home (Negaunee) also have the chance to win a basket and view their displays.
